Dear Fellow Co-op Members:
For those of you who donít know me, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Michael Braun and I am running for the District 1 seat on the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Board of Directors.
On Thursday, March 23rd, I urge you to cast your vote at either of the two polling places; the Key Largo Lions Den, behind TIB at the light, or the Ocean Reef Human Resources Office, just outside of the gate. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Our Cooperative was founded on the principal that a group of people could pool their resources to satisfy a common need; reliable, low-cost electricity. I want to be your local representative, insuring that each and every member in our district has a voice on the FKEC Board. I believe that community involvement and local representation are essential to the spirit of our community.
My opponent, David Ritz, is paid to promote the interests of the Ocean Reef Community Association as their Community Manager. I believe that I am better suited to represent your needs in our District.
A vote for me is a vote for the proud tradition of rural electric Cooperatives. To provide our membership with superior electric services through open communication, utilizing a highly-trained, efficient work force in conjunction with a knowledgeable and well-informed membership. If elected, I will serve my district with integrity, accountability, innovation and community involvement. I will work hard to get the job done.
